Playing Characteristics
The Shires Q20 features a Geyer wrap with medium throat bell and yellow brass construction, capable of producing a full, warm tone with excellent flexibility and intonation. A solder-jointed leadpipe to bell construction provides a deeper sound quality versus standard braces, while supporting the perfect amount of resistance across the musical range.
Special Features
The Q20 features special Rotax valves, which are some of the lightest skeletonized valves still made of metal, making for fast action on the horn. The leadpipe and bell tail are built with a long solder joint, an involving hand-joined process found on custom horns and higher-end German makers.
